Freedom from Religion

Yes, this country and others need to stop this ridiculousness of trying to combine religion and government into some mash up monster. To be honest, this US government was built on the idea that government should be free from religion. It might seem such a small detail, but it shows a rather interesting correlation. Not a direct one, but rather interesting one.

Well whether you agree with that fact or not, I right now. I really don’t care. I not here to talk about freedom from religion in that kind of idea. I am talking about our future generations. The little brothers can sisters we have. Those pesky children even though fight with all the time but care about in the end(I thought I would never say this :P).

Most of you might recall this video of a toddler singing “Ain’t No Homo Gonna Make It to Heaven”. This video cause many disturbances over different communities, but does this kid know? Does he have any idea of what he is saying?

These innocent kids, who just learned 1 + 1 = 2, are not capable of determining what is moral. They are essentially emulators of their parents. If parents are allowing this to the little kid, what would they be lead to believe. Today, it might have been just a song, but tomorrow he could be brainwashed to think this is true.

There have been alarmingly increasing suicidal rate among teenagers, especially with GLBT students. If that wasn’t enough evidence for you There have been incidents among young teenagers and kids, who are led to believe that these extreme views are true and killed their class mates for “the glory of God”

These events should have been enough warning to show us that religious extremists should not be presented to little kids to prevent further damage in society.

Any kids shouldn’t be allowed into church, temple, or any religious place until they are at least 16.

Why 16?

16 is a number where most if not all, have gone through puberty, and most of them have developed a sense of morality in their own terms based on what they have experienced through out their life. This allows for students to choose whether they should follow the doctrines of the religion they are presented with.

I weep for the future of mankind. I hope we can do better than out parents. I know we are capable of doing such miracles.

Fight!

You see, your fight for survival starts right now. You don’t want to be judged? You won’t be. You don’t think you’re strong enough? You are. You’re afraid? Don’t be. You have all the weapons you need. Now fight. – Dr. Vera Gorski(From Sucker Punch)

I love my family….Not really most of my family members including cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents are Christians, so if I wish to speak out my mind about anything one of the two things happen. Either I am ignored, or I am told I don’t know anything. Basically I am ignored 100% by my family member when it comes to these serious talks.

I get it what I say is devil’s words and they don’t want to listen to say of the stuff I say, but if you are truly a person of this Earth. Anyone who is smart enough will buy my argument that a healthy argument can lead to better knowledge, and understanding of the subject, even if you think you know everything. So why is it that people doesn’t want to talk about religion? Why is it so hard for people to sit down and have a clam conversation about God and his meanings written in Bible so hard. I have had it up to my head with people who will just plainly ignore any statements, and conjunctures about religion. I hate that I must shut up about what I believe it’s not only violation against my free-speech rights(If that even matters in Asian cultures), but also its harmful to them as well.

My sister does this all the time. She plugs her ears when I am about to rant about how much i hate religion. I do have to give her some slacks cause she is bit young, although by her age I was thinking about converting my belief to Antagonism then. But when I am talking to people like my aunt and uncle I don’t want to be told that I am simply too young to understand. I am turning 18 in 6 months for god shake. I think I know enough to talk a thing or two about God. I mean I have this blog right? I don’t always make sense, but I to raise valid point here and there. So why is society ignoring religion, giving it an impunity from being criticized.

But its all comes down to this. You are the children of God. So why be afraid of a human being, by ignoring me you have acknowledged that you, yourself doesn’t fully believe in god.

No matter which side you are on, the battle has started.

Is this what we really need?

I haven’t had a post in a while cause I have been busy and if I continued this procrastination I knew that I would not post for a while due to upcoming AP tests so this is me ranting about stuff I don’t get and hate

So that red circled part in the mysterious picture is miniature build of the project that my church is working on………
as far as I know they cost around 130,000 dollars give or take 100

From the church`s point of view this spending is very justified.
My church lacks main hall because they believe my generation is more important. I understand that they need proper sermon hall.

But from my point of view that is a lot of money which could have been donated to charities to help out hunger issues in Africa and other 3rd world countries. Lets do some simple math here

$10 can feed a kid for 10 days according to UNICEF

130000 /10 = 13000

13,000 kids!!! Lets see that sounds a lot to me doesn’t it?
I hate to see those money wasted….

another thing.. if the next generation is so important what about the kids in Africa that I am talking about Why not feed them?

I really can’t wrap my head around this
I want your opinion on this

Should the church spend the money to fund organizations like UNICEF to end world hunger or should build the Main hall?

WE are all WRONG……

“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”

Albert Einstein

I have always believed that Science should work to prove that Atheists are right, but after reading this quote the purpose I had define Science with has become an enigma to me, why does Science has to battle Religion?

Groundswell made by the Theist and Atheist are simple vituperative statements to bring each other down, and sometimes people like me, who are irascible, rants on about how Science is superior to Religion

But Science is nothing more than the study of nature and its building blocks, and Religion is no more than a moral guide written millions of years ago by some random dude or by “God“. So how it is that these to groups, Atheists and Theists, try to incriminate one another.

Both comes in nice dapper books, the penchant toward one subject or the other is made due to what you see or more importantly how you see the world. Only remnant list of things are found common between the two. there is no way either of the two views can accost each other of wrong doing. Both have dearth of evidence to prove each other completely wrong.

we have a predilection to preemptively not listen to other side of the story,

So where do we draw the line between, Science and Religion? This isn’t that hard. Simple infuse the practices of the two. Follow the moral values given by the religion of your choice, and create an eccentric list that seem paragon to you, and practice the scientific logical reasoning on day-to-day basis.

For centuries Science and religion has tormented each other, and that only caused fiasco in relationships among families and friends. We must stop this diatribe and work together and one big society.

This is not just a simple trivial matter, this requires much more attention that most of our friends and family are giving. We should be able to relish our lives on the face of the Earth, not fight till you die. All that will do will lead you to the life of forlorn. I been there, it’s not fun unless u enjoy them as much as I did.

Even after this epiphany I still firmly uphold my view of being Anti-religious, but now I will do so in more cavalier ways.

Last thing, if you have known me in the last few years or so, I have been a strong non-conformist….. I just compromised, I just made a RADICAL change in my opinion. Am I completely right? I don’t know, but I do know that This would allow me to create a life style that will make euphoria out of two completely unrelated instruments.

Radical 2

Before I begin about how much ridiculous this might be
If course this pastor talks about how Christians are persecuted….. Bull shit
I have a lot of christian friends I don’t make fun of them rather I get made fun of…

Matthew 7:13-27
I am sorry this passage I have heard of two or three times and I think this is one passage most pastors speak about to make you feel bad..

13-20 is about how God is the only way to get to heaven…. Well isn’t that Basic Christianity 101.

OK… He said other region makes people work up to God.. Oh my God seriously
Just like God sent Jesus. So did Muslim God with Mohammed and other religion

Wow what a BS this is why I say we must have to study your enemy…
I have to say I heard this many times and this is just full of shit.

I am sorry this is one of those passage that I am just gonna laugh at.

21-23 is about how people aren’t fully Christian…. Bull shit So how the F*** are u going to tell who is real and who isn’t. Who gives I right to decide that! I am sorry but that is your god’s power not yours to speak of.

If I were to brother of a rock by the word of my “father” i would run away… Wouldn’t U??

24-27 is how God’s words are foundations of Christian life… Well again Basic Christianity 101. Here is the reality buddy world is full of theists. The world is made for you now for me or my atheist brothers and sisters. The world is not full of demons and evil it’s rather filled with you and your kinds.

The foundation, word of God, is never set like a rock.
Wait never mind it’s like a rock changing in size and shape to fit in every century or so.

In conclusion I don’t think this book is Radical as the book claim it to be. Just another book that is getting popular because the views of many Christians are changing to fit the society we live in

Think a little more

The What I hate about my generation of kids is that we are fed about news around the world.

No one really has his or her own opinions, and to me that is devastating.

I would argue, people only think if they get into arguments.
But religion has led many people to stop thinking and blindly believe the super powerful God. I honestly have no problem with God, the problems rests on the people.

And I have met religious people willingly admitting that people are the problem. That’s not enough, acknowledging a problem is one step to solving a problem.

So here is my solution, stop going to church. The church has been corrupted to it core and no church that I have been to was “clean”. Learning about God doesn’t have to be group meet every Sundays. It can simply be Quite Time by yourself.

As Ex-Christian(When I was kid ^^) I think learning about God can be just personal thing, even in the Bible is says pray quietly alone. So why do we need churches that wont help the poor, and looks only after itself. Above all I think churches are promoting the wrong God. Call me crazy but hate is not something God wanted us to have, that is the hard fact you have to face.

Radical ?

I posted about this few weeks ago, I think.
If I did I probably pointed out that this book is pretty much the guide-book to hypocrisy. So this week “my church” is starting the radical lessons.

Luke 9:57-62
in short the STORY is about 3 guys who is willing to follow Jesus, if he was real, no matter what.

1st guy says he wishes to follow God, but “Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.”

Well, if he isn’t from this world and from heaven, isn’t that bit arrogant. I mean not all of us can get there right?? -Wink- 😛

So, apparently Jesus is uncomfortable on the face of earth
Wow lol.
Hey Jesus I don’t like the face of Earth either, so Can i join your little club?

Ok…….

May be I am just being cynical right now, back to sermon. 🙂

2nd guy wants to bury his father before following Jesus.
Jesus replies by saying he shouldn’t put family before God..

Why? apparently he knows everything you need and family isn’t it.
Sure family can be annoying and sometimes get on your nerves…-achm-, but you got to love them for even tolerating all the shit you do.

3rd guy says he will follow, but wishes to say good-bye to his friends and family.
And even him Jesus says that anyone that looks back isn’t good for heaven

I do have to agree that being nostalgic isn’t good for anyone. Honestly if I was to kept looking back I wouldn’t have the strength to keep living.

Overall I can’t agree with 2/3 of these points of being christian. I think the meaning of being christian is no longer with us. Everyone is different, and trying to bind the society with one topic is impossible. Let alone trying to introduce God, whom we don’t even know if it exists or not.

I want to end randomly with few songs I have listened to a lot.
Teenagers/Sing – My Chemical Romance
Stronger(What doesn’t kill you) – Kelly Clarkson

I been listening to the song with one thing i my mind. I don’t give a shit what people have to say about me.
Seriously though, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and sing for the deaf and everyone else even if they hate your guts. 🙂
